My heart beats fastest when I am writing lyrics—combining the rhythm and rhyme of words and emotions. Next is the thrill of the script and scenes, balancing the dialogue of competing desires with the action of the plot. And finally, there is the music itself—I am never sure if I am finding the melodies, or they are finding me.
